February 3, 2025 - a 1993 Alpha Magic the Gathering Graded 9 sealed 'pack' posted for sale at $46,000. NOT a box or a case ..... a pack of 15 cards from the game. In the same time period you could purchase an EMPTY Magic the Gathering Alpha box for $2,000 - EMPTY - no cards!
Magic The Gathering Trading Card Game is now over 30 years old. For the speculator, what value will be afforded to the Flesh and Blood Trading Card Game when it is 30 years old?
Repeat after me: Moerlo and Nnyleac's fundamental principle for collecting and investing is "If a Flesh and Blood card, sleeve or box increases in value, you should already own it!"
Long ago, when the world of Rathe was untouched by human hands, a great and mighty beast gave live to the land now known as Volcor. Beneath its claws, the ground turned to stone. Its gaze gave life to rivers of flame. And with its breath the very air became dry with the heat of a blazing fire. It carved out a home for itself between the rolling fields and wine-dark sea, decorating the land in its likeness.
Welcome to Rathe is the first booster set for Flesh and Blood Trading Card Game along with the Rathe Hero Decks. With that, these key points should be considered for collectors and investors:
-
High Quality Production: The cards created for the game boast beautify artwork, unique designs and impactful finishes making it appealing to collectors who value aesthetics.
-
Limited Edition Cards: Cold Foil and Marvel Cards (which are specially foiled with a unique cold foil finish) are highly sought after by collectors and can command premium prices.
-
Hero-Centric Game Play: Each player chooses a hero with unique abilities and play style, making certain hero cards and their associated equipment especially desirable for collectors.
-

Within the Welcome to Rathe set comes a variety of cards and rarity. Each of these Alpha (first edition) cards has a 'pull rate' which is the number of copies made of each particular card for the set. The rarer the card the lower the 'pull rate' pointing to the probability of its rise in value.
Below you will find some helpful information about Welcome to Rathe Alpha Edition Pull Rates

-
Legend Rarity - A legend card has a pull rate of 1 in every 96 packs ..... 10 times more rare that a fabled card!
-
Cold Foil Finish - a cold foil finish card has a pull rate of 1 in every 24 packs ..... there are 18 cards in the full deck with the cold foil finish and this is the total population pull rate.
